About Us
Summer of Caring Camp is a camp founded on the values of caring community service & daring to advocate for what is important to YOU. We learn about active citizenship, and grow our creative problem solving skills by looking for needs in our community and creating caring projects to help address these needs!
Past caring projects have included:
-Planting trees
-Building bat shelters
-Crafting toys for shelter pets
-Holding pajama drives for kids in crisis
-Creating soup-in-a-jar kits for food pantries

At Summer of Caring Camp, we teach kids how to transform kindness & empathy into impactful action.
We welcome kids entering K-5th grade for our primary weeks. We will have ELEVEN one-week sessions to choose from this year, with half day and full day options! Need before or after care? We can help!
NEW this year: Preschool Sessions! These special half day camps are geared towards our littlest citizens ages 3 - 5, and will be offered for three key weeks when some preschools aren't in session, but the regular school year is still running.

Preschool Hours & Pricing:
Before Care: 8AM-9AM ($75/week)
Half Day Session: 9AM-1PM ($300/week)
PM Only Half Day Session (only available week 1): 1PM-4PM ($225/week)
Full Day Session: 9AM-5PM ($450/week)
Late Day Care: 5PM-6PM ($75/week)
*Partial weeks are only available upon availability or for the above designated weeks.
Please note: All camps must have a minimum enrollment of 4 campers to run. Families will be notified by 2 weeks before session begins if minimum enrollment is not yet met.
What does a typical day look like?
Daily Schedule
9:00 - 9:30AM: Opening Activity. Campers arrive and spend time exploring! This is typically a guided open ended play activity outdoors, geared to spark imaginations - DIY crafts, exploring science, etc.
9:30 - 9:45AM: Morning meeting! Campers gather in groups with counselors for Internal Weather Reports (social emotional check-in), to brainstorm community needs and projects, and discuss the activity plan for the day.
9:45 - 10:45AM: Caring Activity! You'll find us constructing, cooking, strategizing, advocating, crafting, and learning while doing good for our community!
10:45 - 11:00AM: Snack Time. (Nut free, please!)
11:00 - 12:00PM: Camp Activity #1. Every week we have a Tie Dye Day & a Water Play Day!
12:00 -12:30PM: Lunch Time.
12:30 - 1:00PM: Morning activities wrap up, free play & Half Day Pick Up.
1:00 - 3:00PM: The Big Deal! Full day campers will work on a week-long caring project! These will typically be more involved, such as planning and holding a donation drive, creating an awareness campaign, constructing something to benefit the community, etc.
3:00 - 3:15PM: Snack Time. (Nut free, please!)
3:15 - 3:30PM: Raise Your Voice! Advocacy activity: collaborate on an email to an elected official, sign a petition, etc.- what is important to YOU?
3:30 - 4:30PM: Camp Activity #2. Organized outdoor fun! Relay races, group games, scavenger hunts, etc.
4:30 - 5:00PM: Free play & wind down games before Full Day Pick-Up.
Before and After Care ease in and out of the day tapping into creativity, exploring outdoors, and playing games.
